Following a disappointing debut on the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) that ended with a painful third-place finish in the VCT 2023 Pacific Last Chance Qualifier, Gen.G decided to rebuild their roster. During the offseason, they have acquired four new players: Kim “t3xture” Na-ra, Kim “Lakia” Jong-min, Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom, and Kim “Karon” Won-tae.

The new-look lineup has no official games on record yet, but even without any results, it is easy to see that this roster is pretty mediocre. While Gen.G should do well regionally, they will likely struggle on the international stage.

True Ripper are a bit of an enigma, as they have never appeared in top-tier VCT events. However, they dominated in the Convergence 2023 Indian Qualifier, and they have been active, attending tournaments, since the start of October.

Talent-wise, Gen.G look like the stronger side, but this lineup doesn’t inspire much confidence. The Koreans should win, but at the offered Valorant betting odds, they are way overrated.

GLOBAL ESPORTS vs TEAM VITALITY Valorant BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: GE +284 at BetOnline | Vitality -416.67 at BetOnline

Global Esports ended last season with a fifth-sixth finish in the Last Chance Qualifier after placing eighth in the VCT 2023 Pacific League. Like Gen.G, they have made several roster changes ahead of next season but haven’t invested in any star quality.

Global Esports have a big firepower issue. Unless Niko “polvi” Polvinen does most of the heavy lifting, this team will struggle both domestically and internationally.

Team Vitality signed three new players in September: Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel, Kimmie “Kicks” Laasner, and Emil “runneR” Trajkovski. Adding Sayf alone is a major upgrade, but until we see them play, we can only speculate on how high Vitality can fly.

While there are questions about how these new rosters will perform, Team Vitality are undeniably the more talented team. At the offered odds, we have to take the Bees to sweep this downgraded version of Global Esports.
