Apeks parted ways with Counter-Strike player-turned-coach P?l “Polly” Kammen on Tuesday.
The announcement follows Apeks’ impressive run during the BLAST.tv Paris Major, where they reached the semifinals before losing to the eventual champions, Team Vitality.
“As the Major comes to an end, so does my time with @apeksgg after a 4 year long journey. I was a player when we went from 1.6 to CS:GO, and I feel the same drive and motivation now for CS2!,” Polly wrote.
The player also encouraged teams that needed an experienced coach to reach out to him in the future.

Polly signed with Apeks in 2019 as a player before his move to a coaching position later that year. Aside from a brief stand-in as a player in 2020, he continued coaching the team throughout the rest of his tenure.
While Polly was initially the head coach of the CS:GO squad, he moved back to an assistant role after Jakub “?kuben?” Gurczynski joined the team in mid-2022.
During his stint as an assistant coach, Apeks enjoyed a significant resurgence. Having withdrawn from all competitions in August 2022, the team returned in top form at the start of 2023 after replacing French star Richard “?shox?” Papillon with Damjan “?kyxsan?” Stoilkovski.
Apeks recorded significant improvement in the online scene during this period, securing second-place finishes in two consecutive CCT West Europe Series. Polly was also part of their ESEA Advanced Season 43 victory this year.
