Even though G2 have achieved much more on the year and arguably field a more talented roster, it’s tough to trust them with our money. Regardless of their high ceiling, G2 have been very underwhelming of late, and it’s evident that something isn’t clicking behind the scenes.

French-Balkan squad’s three-map series against Lynn Vision Gaming (2-1) and loss against MAD Lions (1-2) is a strong testament that they’re struggling. Unlike G2, FURIA are in excellent form (7-0), and while most of those wins came against weaker teams, FURIA are at least winning games they should.

Even though it makes perfect sense for Ninjas in Pyjamas to be priced as the favourites for this match, we would argue that even -113.64 is too high. G2 Esports are in terrible form, and there is nothing that would suggest their situation will improve anytime soon.

Unlike G2, Ninjas in Pyjamas have been on the rise in 2021. They have recently claimed the no.3 spot in the global rankings and are among the top favourites to win the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 title.

With the form NiP have been showing, they should be getting much more respect on the betting market. This is an elite team taking on fallen giants, and it’s not hard to pick a side.

Ninjas in Pyjamas and BIG will clash on Wednesday in a Betway Showmatch, which will mark NiP’s first official game since late November and BIG’s first match in three weeks.

Ring rust will play a factor in this match, but perhaps it’s even more important to note that the series will be played mostly on older maps such as Tuscan, Cache, Aztec and Cobblestone, which should result in a more open affair.

BIG are priced as the favourites, which seem fair, as they should win more times than not, but at $2.35, there is value in siding with NiP, who should be priced much closer to even money. A safer bet, however, is over 3.5 maps, albeit at much shorter odds.
