Action has since produced a mixed bag of results, however, he deserves some praise for his 4-1 run leading up to this match.

Stork was slightly less successful in his recent fixtures, but not by much. He enters this match with a 4-2 record since mid-December, which includes wins against Park “Soma” Sang Hyun and Hong “Ruin” Deok.

We don’t believe the Action v Stork odds should sit so far apart at the best esports betting sites. ?9INE enter this match on the back of two 1-2 losses against ex-Ethereal and Lilmix, meaning they’re only one defeat away from an early elimination. The same holds true for Team Unique, who didn’t win a single map in their losses against Lyngby Vikings and Project X.

Unique have produced only three wins since late October, and even those came against Saints (twice) and HONORIS. That is significantly worse than 9INE, who have bested the likes of Nordavind, Movistar Riders, LDLC, HellRaisers and other solid tier-two teams during that stretch.

9INE can be somewhat inconsistent at times, but this is still their game to lose. There is good money in backing the favourites to cover the line.

Demacia Cup 2020

?After topping their group ahead of Oh My God, Rogue Warriors, Shu Da Xiong Gaming and HMG, FunPlus Phoenix are now set to face their toughest challenge of the tournament. Top Esports secured a comfortable 2-0 sweep when these teams last met in July, and it’s difficult to imagine this fixture will play out any differently.

Top have kept their roster intact, whereas FPX have added Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon to the top lane as a replacement for Kim “GimGoon” Han-saem and Kim “Khan” Dong-ha. This should make FPX deadlier, but until we see a bit more from them, Top should remain the favourites in these meetings.

?Suning made quite a statement with their runner-up finish at the 2020 League of Legends World Championship, so it is reasonable to see them priced at such low odds. Although it is highly likely they will try out their new ADC Xie “Jinjiao” Jin-Shan instead of Tang “huanfeng” Huan-Feng for this match, that shouldn’t harm their overall quality too much.

ViCi are a team with potential, but that’s all they can offer for now. They did not make any notable additions to the team during the offseason and even lost their best-performing player from the last League of Legends Pro League (LPL) split, Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo, to Bilibili Gaming.

There is a world where ViCi win one map, but we don’t expect much more from them. An outright bet on Suning is a solid pick, even at the short odds.

CasterMuse StarLeague Season 4

?The first thing that caught our attention here is the huge gap in the odds at most StarCraft II betting sites. Not only will this match be played as best-of-one fixture, but Jang “Snow” Yoon Chul lost to Lee “Sacsri” Yah Hoon only two weeks ago.

What’s more, Sacsri is extremely effective against Protoss (60.95% win rate), whereas Snow has not been too successful when facing Zergs of late. At these odds, Sacsri to win is great value.

GG year 2020

?Out of six head-to-head bouts in 2020, Ivan “Vanya” Chepurnov’s only defeat so far came in a best-of-one clash in July. He has since triumphed twice with 3-0 in October and 2-0 in November. Vanya usually does well against Terran (62.67%), which is significantly higher than Mykhailo “Kas” Gaida’s 57.08% win rate against Zergs.

Everything is pointing towards another easy win for Vanya, but there is some value in siding with the outsider. At +177, the esports bookmakers are implying Kas has only a 9.06% chance to win, which is too low even in a best-of-three series.

Kas proved with his 2-0 sweep of Dmytro “DIMAGA” Filipchuk (Zerg) on Monday that he is not to be ignored. If that match is any indication, the 32-year-old Ukrainian just might produce another upset.

CasterMuse StarLeague Season 4

?Doh “BeSt” Jae Wook and Kim “ggaemo” Kyung Mo will clash for the third time in their careers and the first time since January, when ggaemo won 1-0 during CasterMuse StarLeague S2. BeSt enters this match as the odds-on favourite with StarCraft II betting sites, which is not entirely shocking, but the price seems a bit too short for our liking.

BeSt has been struggling for a while, so his implied probability to win (78.1%) is far too high for a best-of-one fixture. That is not to say ggaemo is a better StarCraft II esports player, but he has a strong 60% win rate against Protoss and looks a solid chance to cause an upset.

?Jung “JyJ” Young Jae enters this match off a month-long hiatus from the StarCraft II esports scene, which is slightly concerning, but the same can be said for Lee “Sacsri” Yah Hoon, who has only one game on record in the past month. JyJ was last seen competing during the 2020 Star BJ Destruction Season 2: Wild Card tournament in November, when he lost against Sacsri 0-1.

Even though best-of-one results don’t mean much, it would still make more sense for esports bookmakers to offer shorter odds on Sacsri. What’s more, Terran are Sacsri’s best matchup (65.56%), so there is no reason to have him priced above even money.

?Even though Lee “Light” Jae Ho deserves some praise for his 5-4 win against Park “Soma” Sang Hyun last week, he is not playing nearly as solidly as he did in November. And it’s not only his lack of form that concerns us, but also Light’s poor record against Protoss (33.33%).

Light is arguably a better player, but Won “Motive” Seon Jae’s strong Protoss vs Terran record of 65.85% should help reduce the quality gap and allow him to keep this match close. Motive to win at +267 is a very good offer and one we can’t pass on.

BTS Pro Series Season 4: Southeast Asia

These two sides last met on Tuesday, when TNC Predator swept Fnatic 2-0. It marked their third head-to-head win of the year after a 2-1 triumph in January and a 2-0 sweep during the third season of the BTS Pro Series in September.

Fnatic have been the better team throughout most of the year, and while it may be fair to say TNC have caught up to their rivals, we are not ready to believe the gap is as big as the Dota 2 betting odds suggest. Fnatic were a bit unlucky not to win at least one map against TNC last week, and we believe they can improve on that this Thursday.

Team Dog field some of the best players in the scene, including Abed “Abed” Azel L. Yusop and Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang, but their results hardly reflect that. In their defence, they’re a newly formed stack, so some lack of synergy is expected.

Regardless, Team Dog should not be priced at such high odds. In the last three rounds of the tournament, iceiceice and co. forced stalemates against Fnatic, TNC Predator and Motivade.Trust Gaming, which we should rank far higher than T1’s win against Neon Esports and stalemates against Vice Esports and Execration.

We are siding with Team Dog to keep the momentum going and win the series 2-0.
