Mikoto joins Bleed Esports as one of the most recognisable names from the South-East Asia (SEA) Dota 2 scene.
The 23-year-old started his esports career in March 2017 and has since played for some of the top teams in the region, including BOOM Esports and Talon Esports.
With Talon, Mikoto accomplished a lot last year.
He won the BTS Pro Series Season 14: Southeast Asia and DPC SEA 2023 Tour 2: Division I and claimed two bronze medals at the Lima Major 2023 and Riyadh Masters 2023.
However, despite all the success, Mikoto found himself on the chopping block after Talon’s 9th-12th-place exit from The International 2023.
His new teammate, poloson joins Bleed Esports as one of the most experienced players on the roster.
Over his career, which spans a decade, poloson has competed with some of the strongest Dota 2 teams in the world, including Invictus Gaming, Nigma Galaxy SEA, and Team SMG.
Even though poloson didn’t accomplish much in 2023 when he competed with Myth Avenue Gaming, the seasoned veteran can offer a lot of value for Bleed, who’ll look to build on the success they’ve achieved in 2023.

Bleed Esports have proven very active during the Dota 2 offseason, looking to strengthen the roster after failing to accomplish much in the 2023 season.
Even though Bleed Esports won DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I, the SEA squad failed to show much on the international stage.
In July, Bleed Esports attended Bali Major 2023 and crashed out of the $500,000 Dota 2 esports tournament in 13th-14th place.
By the end of the season, the Singaporean team unsuccessfully attempted to qualify for The International and ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, exiting both qualifiers in fifth-sixth place.
In a bid to find more success in 2024, Bleed Esports started rebuilding the roster in November with the addition of Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee and Tommy “Taiga” Le.
However, after a rough showing at Kobolds Rave in December, Bleed released Taiga and found two new players to fill the missing gaps.
Bleed Esports will debut their new roster in the upcoming DreamLeague Season 22 qualifier, set to start in February.

Tundra’s decision to bring in the ex-TSM roster just before the ESL One Kuala Lumpur Major raised eyebrows, especially given the quick dissolution of the majority of the roster after finishing in eighth place at the tournament.
Players such as Enzo “Timado” Gianoli, Jonathan “Bryle” De Guia, Ilyas “kasane” Gainullin, Aleksandr “Immersion” Khmelevskoi, and David “MoonMeander” Tan Boon Yang have all left Tundra, leaving fans puzzled about the organization’s intentions for their Dota 2 division.

Interestingly, Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon remains on the roster, adding an air of uncertainty to Tundra’s plans.
Speculation has been rife on Reddit, with some suggesting that Tundra might have signed the TSM roster to fulfil sponsor obligations before 2024.
The organization seems to have had one foot out of the Dota 2 world for some time, but there are indications of a commitment to staying if the right formula can be found.
Whitemon’s retention could potentially signal Tundra’s desire to build a strong team, especially with notable free agents like Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov, and Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko available in the market.
Tundra currently has a short roster, and with players like Martin “Saksa” Sazdov on the inactive roster, there is potential for a formidable team if Saksa decides to return to competitive Dota 2.
However, Tundra doesn’t seem to be in a rush to make decisions.
The absence of a Dota Pro Circuit appears to have sparked a season of significant shuffling.
The decision follows a disappointing 8th-place finish at ESL One Kuala Lumpur, though the abruptness of the move has left fans speculating about Tundra’s imminent rebuild.
The decision comes after a lacklustre performance in the playoffs at ESL One Kuala Lumpur, where Tundra faced a tough 0-2 defeat against BetBoom Team.
Notably, the players were part of the team for less than three weeks before being released.
Tundra’s original squad for The International 2023 fell apart after a 16th-place finish, leading to the hyped signing of Team Undying, who had just left TSM.
The jersey-hopping trend is expected to continue in 2024, with four of the five players yet to announce their plans.
Former Tundra carry Timado, one of the players released, hinted at the timing of the decision by posting on December 31 that he was looking for a new team and had received an offer from Quantum Infinity CEO Igor Campos.
This suggests that Tundra made the decision to disband the squad right after Kuala Lumpur but delayed the announcement.

Last month, they acquired former Xtreme Gaming duo Zhao “XinQ” Zixing and Guo “Xm” Hongcheng and offlaner Lin “Xxs” Jing, forming what looks like one of the most stacked rosters in the Chinese Dota 2 scene — although they’ve yet to play an official match.
Team Secret signed Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and re-added Miroslav “BOOM” Bi?an at the start of November, hoping to find more success after a shaky ending to the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit season. And they’ve so far looked solid, cruising through the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 European qualifiers.
Although Team Secret still have a lot more to prove, they look very competitive. Azure Ray might be stronger on paper, but considering we’ve yet to see them in action, backing a team that proven at the top level makes way more sense at the offered Dota 2 betting odds.

Following an underwhelming season, Blacklist International decided to hit a reset button and completely revamp their roster. The ESL Kuala Lumpur 2023, which will run from December 11-17, promises to be an electrifying event, spotlighting 12 elite Dota 2 squads from across the globe. Commencing with a three-day Group Stage, two clusters of six teams will vie for supremacy in a single round-robin format.
The upper echelon, the top six teams, will then secure their spots for the live Playoffs, scheduled between December 15 and 17, in a double elimination format.
Shane Clarke, holding the reins as the Director of Game Ecosystems �C Dota 2 at the ESL FACEIT Group, shared insights about the decision to reroute another ESL One edition to Malaysia.
��We know Dota fans across South-East Asia have been eagerly waiting for the return of ESL One for over a year now,” he said.
“This December, we��re bringing back ESL One, bigger & more accessible than ever before, as we move the tournament from Genting to Kuala Lumpur for the first time.”
Historically, ESL has brought Dota 2 tournaments to Malaysia on three occasions, albeit in Genting. Encouragingly, the most recent event, ESL One Malaysia 2022, garnered an impressive viewership, peaking at 363,000 and logging close to 9.68 million watch hours, according to online sources.
Intriguingly, there might be a schedule clash. The ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 is seemingly coinciding with another titan of a competition, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M5 World Championship.
Latest updates indicate that this championship, marking the culmination of the MLBB 2023 season, will span two venues – Kuala Lumpur for the Wildcard stage and the Philippines for the Main stage �C in November and December.
