Mineski was a surprise bolter into the tournament’s deciding series after catching fire with the inclusion of stand-in Kim ‘Febby’ Yong-min.

In the group stage, Keen Gaming was the first team to advance to the playoffs by whitewashing both Signify and Mineski.

Mineski only advanced to the playoffs the day after losing to Keen, beating The Pango in the deciding series 2-1.

The playoffs started on April 18 and Keen lost its first series against Natus Vincere.

Mineski performed very well in playoffs and destroyed TEAM TEAM to get themselves into the Upper Bracket Finals, securing a top three finish in the tournament.

After Keen lost to Natus Vincere, they climbed their way back to the Finals by eliminating The Pango, TNC Predator and then got sweet revenge against Natus Vincere in a 2-0 victory.

After Natus Vincere were eliminated, Keen Gaming were heavily favoured to do the job against Mineski in the final.

Kaka, the position five player from Keen, played three games of Nyx Assassin in the series — the hero was the first picked in each game.

Although Dark displayed his Disruptor a lot in the group stage, Keen definitely out-drafted Mineski by spamming Nyx Assassin in the Finals because Mineski never respected and banned this hero against him.

While Keen heavily relied on Nyx Assassin, Mineski also drafted Winter Wyvern and Earthshaker as their duo supports in game one and game two. Their early roaming over the map definitely provided the team a promising start but Keen always found their way to pressure and utilise the space Nyx Assassin created for them to regroup and push.

After losing with Winter Wyvern and Earthshaker in game one and two, Mineski finally drafted other support heroes, Bounty Hunter and Bane Elemental. J.Storm, one of the direct-invite teams from the North America Closed Qualifier, will kick off its first professional Dota 2 game in patch 7.21b against Complexity Gaming in a best-of-three series on Thursday night, seeking to advance to the ESL One Mumbai main tournament.

J.Storm is one of strongest teams in the world and ranks 11th on the Dota Pro Circuit 2018-19 Rankings, highlighting how hard they have worked in the last six months.

The squad’s most recent professional match was against Flying Penguin in the DreamLeague Season 11, North America Closed Qualifier. They also took down Complexity Gaming in the group stage of the Closed Qualifier on February 5.

J.Storm drafted a hero that we barely see on the professional scene anymore, Templar Assassin, in game three against Complexity Gaming and J.Storm won the game thanks to Bryle’s fantastic use of the hero.

Bryle had a good laning phase against Lina because Lina was unable to break Refraction counts of Templar Assasin with the instant damage per second skill. So, Templar Assassin zoned Lina out of the lane when his Refraction was in use.

Bryle ended the game with 15 kills, only three deaths and 11 assists.

In patch 7.21b, Visage was nerfed because his familiars’ damage is reduced at level one and level two.

In addition to banning Visage against Team Team, Flying Penguin also picked Sven in every game in order to put Sven into a core or support role. This is a good strategy to confuse enemies and make changes to the position of Sven by analysing the draft of enemies in the drafting phase.
