The news comes just a day after the players parted ways with Imperial, ending their 17-month and 11-month stints with the organization. Henrique “HEN1” Teles from MIBR and Fluxo’s Jo?o “felps” Vasconcellos are expected to replace the players on Imperial’s lineup.

FalleN has been linked to FURIA for over a month, long before he officially departed Imperial’s lineup. After weeks of unconfirmed reports, the player is now a part of FURIA and will represent the team in the upcoming fall season.

In a welcome statement, FURIA described FalleN as “one of the greatest CS players of all time” with a successful career in CS:GO that has lasted over 10 years.

“His journey is marked by numerous achievements and important titles, including two Major victories in 2016, the game’s premier global competition, and his well-known role in leadership and the development of high-performance players and teams,” the post continues.

FalleN joined Imperial in February 2022 as part of the famed “Last Dance” project. The team also included Fernando “?fer?” Alvarenga and Lincoln “?fnx?” Lau. After several impressive plays, FalleN leaves Imperial with a 1.09 rating.

The player notably helped the Brazillian lineup qualify for the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Majors and the Professional Gamers League Antwerp 2022.

Andr�� Akkari, FURIA’s co-founder and co-CEO, also said, “FalleN’s arrival represents a moment of unity for Brazilian esports. This union brings together the best that Brazil has produced from two different generations.”

“Two sides that were once opposed, separated by a rivalry that has been created for years, are now together in a movement that unites generations and the Brazilian CS community.”

FalleN is set to replace FURIA’s former sniper Rafael “?saffee?” Costa, who left the Brazilian lineup in late June in favor of MIBR. chelo, whose signing was announced hours after FalleN’s, is set to replace Andr�� “?drop?” Abreu, who also moved to MIBR.

chelo was signed to Imperial in August 2022 and has been a crucial part of the team’s major achievements. He helped the squad reach a second-place finish in the Electronic Sports League Challenger Melbourne and qualify for the IEM Rio Major.

chelo also helped Imperial reach 3rd-4th placing in the BLAST Spring Final. The player leaves Imperial with a 1.09 average rating on LAN (1.16 impact).

FURIA currently includes FalleN, chelo, Andrei “?arT?” Piovezan, Kaike “?KSCERATO?” Cerato, Yuri “?yuurih?” Santos, and Gabriel “?FalleN?” Toledo.

FalleN and chelo were signed ahead of FURIA’s IEM Cologne 2023 campaign and are expected to make their debut with the team during the event.

The CS:GO tournament’s play-in stage will kick off on July 26 to July 28. FURIA will face off against Ninjas in Pyjamas, Fnatic, and Team Liquid to secure one of the eight spots in the group stage.

GameArena disclosed that the teams had reached a decision on Sunday to approve the transfer. Marcelo “?chelo?” Cespedes would also be signed to FURIA’s lineup in the process.

In their farewell statement, Imperial lauded FalleN for bringing “the essence of competition, teamwork, camaraderie and the fun of playing with friends” into the organization.

Imperial also referenced The Last Dance project, which featured a lineup that included FalleN, Ricardo “?boltz?” Prass, Fernando “?fer?” Alvarenga, Lincoln “?fnx?” Lau, and Vinicius “?VINI?” Figueiredo, with Luis “?peacemaker?” Tadeu as coach. The team came together in January 2022 to compete in the North American CS:GO circuit and were signed by Imperial a month later.

“Our journey by his side was full of unforgettable moments, exciting victories, overcoming adversity, breaking records and we saw the passion of the Brazilian cross borders. Together, we wrote a beautiful story,” Imperial’s post read.

“Thank you for everything, teacher @FalleNCS . Never forget that you will always have a special place in our hearts and in the history of our organization. Keep influencing and inspiring generations to be better in and out of the game.”

FalleN also shared a lengthy post responding to the Imperial’s farewell message. In the heartfelt writeup, the CS:GO player expressed his gratitude to the team and revealed that the decision to leave was a difficult one.

“I can easily say that you guys helped me to find myself again – to find my balance, happiness in doing more of what I love. Every point of view of you, every discussion, every victory and defeat, thank you for the opportunity to live and work with you. I will never forget,” FalleN wrote.

“I would have achieved even more for you, I did my best in what I could, you deserve it for krl. I’ll be rooting for you guys.”

The CS:GO legend went on to thank his past and present teammates, the Imperial staff, in addition to his family and fans of the team.

FalleN joined Imperial in early 2022 as part of the Last Dance project. While the team did not achieve their aim of conquering the North American region, FalleN led Imperial to a number of wins during his year and a half as in-game leader.

With him at the helm of things, the squad won the OMEN WGR European Challenge 2022, Electronic Sports League Brasil Premier League Season 14, and the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023. Imperial also has a deep run in the Professional Gamers League Major Antwerp 2022 and Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022.

Imperial attended other big events like the ESL Pro League Season 17 and IEM Cologne 2022 but failed to make it past the group stage. The team notably reached the semi-finals at the BLAST Premier Spring Final, securing victories over teams like Complexity and Vitality.

With FalleN’s departure, Imperial’s current lineup includes Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes, Ricardo “?boltz?” Prass, Jhonatan “?JOTA?” Willian, Vinicius “?VINI?” Figueiredo with Rafael “zakk” Fernandes as coach.

MIBR’s Henrique “HEN1” Teles and Jo?o “felps” Vasconcellos, who currently plays for Fluxo, are expected to join Imperial to replace FalleN and chelo.

According to reports, the organization have gotten into informal talks with the player; however, there is no official bid as the discussion is still in its early stages.

FalleN, who is currently signed to Imperial Gaming, confirmed that paiN had shown interest and there was a real possibility of joining the team in the future. He also said that despite both parties having an interest in each other, nothing was confirmed at the moment.

If FalleN does sign with paiN Gaming, it would not be his first time with the team as he was a member of the organization’s Crossfire squad from 2013 to 2014.

The sniper’s transfer to paiN Gaming will likely lead to the departure of the team’s current AWPer, Romeu “zevy?” Rocco. He joined the organization last summer in a �325,000 transfer from Sharks.

Acquiring FalleN will also be a form of protection for paiN, especially during the current transfer period. A number of the organization’s players are currently being wooed by other esports teams.

paiN Gaming joins another Brazilian esports powerhouse, FURIA, who expressed interest in acquiring FalleN earlier. In an earlier interview, the team’s co-owner Andre Akkari stated that they had scheduled a meeting with the player in the next two weeks to discuss signing him.

In an interview, Akkari revealed that the meeting would help both parties express their stance on the situation and decide on their next move. The FURIA co-owner also claimed that the organization were yet to make a final decision on the CS:GO lineup.

On the other hand, Imperial Gaming stated that there was “a real possibility” of retaining FalleN. The organization said that they were making moves to keep him on their roster, and both parties were aligned in creating a “lasting relationship to further popularize our sport that we love so much.”

Imperial continued, “We are in a period of much market speculation and it is natural that all this attention is generated around FalleN. He represents a lot within the market, he is an idol. The Brazilian market wants and needs news and we are working to innovate.”

FalleN still has to meet up with FURIA before a decision about any of the teams is made.

After the player break, the Brazilian lineup would likely include FalleN, Yuri “yuurih” Santos, Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, Andrei “arT” Piovezan, and Andr�� “drop” Abreu. Nicholas “guerri” Nogueira is currently the team’s coach.

FURIA have recorded disappointing results lately, failing at top-tier events like ESL Pro League Season 17, IEM Katowice 2023, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, and now IEM Dallas 2023, where they were eliminated by MOUZ on Tuesday. The Imperial star recently qualified alongside the team for the IEM Rio Major after a drawn-out battle with Complexity. In an interview held after the match, FalleN shed light on what he thought the win symbolized for the Brazilian esports scene and his future in esports.

According to the Brazilian player, while he was not entirely sure when he would retire his mouse and keyboard, it would likely be towards the end of 2023. Concerning his reasons for his retirement, FalleN expressed the desire to accomplish other things in his life outside esports and finally stay home for an extended period.

“I don’t know exactly when I’m going to stop,” FalleN said.

“I’m aiming to stop at the end of next year, but there are times when I want to stop now.”

“Just because I’m outside of my home since 2014, it’s been almost 10 years I’ve not been home. I want to live things with my girlfriend, do other things in life, and I think I’m going to be able to do different things in esports in general. Help other people in different ways; I have already had some thoughts about the process.”

The 31-year-old reiterated his love for CS:GO and how much he loved playing professionally. However, doing so reportedly cost him too much because he treated it as a top priority in his life.

“For me, it’s about this transition phase; I do love CS; I love playing, but it just costs me too much,” FalleN added.

“CS is always my priority, and I take it as number one priority in my life; that means I don’t have much time for relationships with my family, and in the end, it’s all about the connections we make with people. I feel I have to do a little bit more of that.”

Due to the fact that the 2022 IEM Rio Major is the first Valve-sponsored event in Brazil, FalleN and the rest of the Imperial considered the tournament one of the most important esports events in their career. When asked how he felt about the win, the Brazilian player revealed that from the start of the tournament, he was riddled with emotions and attempted to map out each move the team had to make in a number of situations.

“So many emotions during this tournament. From about to be crying on the shuttle towards the tournament, kind of meditating on the process on the process thinking about what we have to do, how we have to lead,” FalleN said.

“What are the things we have to say to conquer what we want, to the battle mode when the game starts and then letting these feelings go and focusing on every single round. This is the most emotional I have been during a tournament in my life and the biggest win I have ever had.”

The CS:GO player concluded the interview by thanking his fans, teammates, and everyone who has offered their support to him over the years.

The 2022 IEM Rio Major will kick off its Challengers Stage on October 31 and see Imperial face off against Team Liquid in one of the tournament��s opening games.

The Brazilian organization known as O PLANO was established by the country’s CS:GO star Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe. The group’s financial resources were not sufficient to cover the cost of attending the training camp in Europe on their own. According to KNgV-, O PLANO required donations of R$50,000 (approximately $9,600) to assist with the costs of the event, and FalleN’s assistance was essential to achieving that objective.

The two-time CS:GO champion had previously gathered R$1,200 through his live streams in order to give to Ex-Gaimin Gladiators for a similar cause. However, the North American players are stable now, and FalleN’s assistance will not be required anymore as a result of their signing with Nouns Esports on September 15.

The 31-year old AWPer player has made the decision to give the money he raised to O PLANO in addition to his earnings from the ESL Challenger Melbourne, a $100,000 CS:GO event that his team Imperial finished in second place in earlier this month.
“[Ex-Gaimin Gladiators] found an organization and yesterday I saw that O PLANO were facing the same difficulties. There��s nothing fairer than transferring the donation to them. I��ll donate my earnings from Australia plus what I raised in my live streams,” FalleN said.

From the 19th of September through the 2nd of October, O PLANO will conduct training in the facilities of Relog Media in Belgrade, Serbia. Based on this, they should have sufficient time to prep for the Americas RMR, which will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, from October 5 to October 9. They will fight against a variety of teams, including FalleN’s Imperial, Team Liquid, FURIA, and Complexity, for one of the six available spots in the IEM Rio Major tournament.

“I really like streaming,” FalleN said.

“I really like creating content and being in touch with people. Streaming is pretty cool because I would be able to stay at home, and that��s something that I think about.

“I really like the teaching part of the game, where I can develop new players. I��m really fascinated by it. I have a lot of knowledge that I really know how to pass on. I know things that can make people better. That��s what I did a long time ago, and maybe when I finish [my career], I can go back to it.”

FalleN started playing in the mid-2000s and participated in competitions like CS 1.6, CS:Source, and CrossFire, and by 2013 he had transitioned to CS:GO.

The year 2016 was his best yet after winning the ESL One Cologne and MLG Columbus Majors with SK Gaming and Luminosity, respectively.

That same year, the player was named the second-best player worldwide, while Marcelo “coldzera” David, his teammate, was named the best. FalleN continued his winning streak with SK well into 2017. However, a year later, teams like FaZe, Astralis, and NAVI started taking more wins.

That same year, SK was transferred to MINR, owned by Immortals, and success seemed to move further in the following years. FalleN eventually left the team in September 2020 and joined Team Liquid. Toledo’s next stop on his farewell tour will be the IEM Rio Major between October and November. The tournament is the first ever Valve-sponsored gaming event to take place in Brazil.
