The post FlyQuest vs 100 Thieves betting tips – LCS 2024 Summer Playoffs appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>The lower-bracket final of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) 2024 Championship pits FlyQuest against the surging 100 Thieves for a spot in the grand finals. The two squads met just once during the LCS 2024 Summer regular season, when FlyQuest eked out a 2-1 victory.
The top LoL betting sites have FlyQuest priced as favourites to defeat 100 Thieves for the second time. That is unsurprising, despite 100T’s shock victory against Cloud9 in the previous round.
100 Thieves have already exceeded expectations in the LCS 2024 Championship by placing top three and securing a spot at the 2024 LoL World Championship. However, they’ve had a fairly easy road, with two victories against Dignitas and one against Cloud9.
Beating Cloud9 is no small feat, but considering how C9 have performed this split — particularly in that series — it is hard to praise 100 Thieves too much. On the other side, Rayan “Sniper” Shoura and co. deserve some recognition for being able to punish Cloud9’s mistakes and poor drafting.
FlyQuest enter this match off a close 2-3 loss against Team Liquid, having previously beaten Cloud9 and NRG without any issues. Liquid have been the only serious threat to FlyQuest for the LCS title, and even they barely made it past Gabri?l “Bwipo” Rau’s crew, who have made a strong case for themselves as North America’s No.2 team.
Picking a winner comes down to how much weight we can put on 100 Thieves’ run to this stage. While they beat Cloud9, they did not have to deal with strong resistance on the day, so it is fair to assume they will not have it as easy on Friday.
FlyQuest are still fairly vulnerable, especially in the early game. However, they will rarely go hard out of the gate, which should prevent 100 Thieves from getting too much traction early in the series.
FlyQuest to win with at least two maps to spare is a solid option at -126.58 with top League of Legends bookies.

]]>Cloud9, after a tough 3-1 loss to FlyQuest, found themselves in the lower bracket, while 100 Thieves rebounded from their defeat to Team Liquid by edging out Dignitas in a closely contested series.
The match began with 100 Thieves drawing first blood, outclassing Cloud9 to take a 1-0 lead.
However, Cloud9 quickly responded to even the series at 1-1 heading into the third game.
Game 3 was a struggle for Cloud9, especially with Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun on LeBlanc, as 100 Thieves took the lead again, going up 2-1.
In the final game, Cloud9 appeared lost, leading to a 1-3 series defeat and their elimination from the LCS Summer 2024, marking a heartbreaking miss at Worlds for the once-dominant team.
The victory for 100 Thieves secured their spot at Worlds 2024 and propelled them to the LCS Summer 2024 lower final, where they will face FlyQuest for a place in the grand final.

This win was particularly special for rookie player Rayan “Sniper” Shoura, who gave a shoutout to his brother and his family following the match.
Sniper, in his first year in the LCS, is now set to showcase his skills on the LoL Worlds stage, expressing his excitement to face T1s Choi “Zeus” Woo-je.
Cloud9s elimination is a significant upset in the LCS, especially given their consistent presence at Worlds for over a decade.
Despite a strong Summer Split, their hopes for redemption were shattered by 100 Thieves, who delivered standout performances, particularly from Lim Quid Hyeon-seung and Frank Tomo Lam.
Reflecting on the series, Quid remarked that 100 Thieves outplayed Cloud9 in terms of macro, even in their one loss.
100 Thieves journey to Worlds is a remarkable turnaround after a difficult summer split, where they suffered four consecutive losses.
Many had written them off, but after a critical win over Dignitas in the playoffs, they found their rhythm.
Support star Bill “Eyla” Nguyen credited the teams mid-season work for their resurgence, which ultimately led to their victory over Cloud9.
As 100 Thieves prepares to take on FlyQuest, Cloud9 is left to reflect on what went wrong this season.
With changes already made before summer, including the departure of Coach Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodrguez and veteran top laner Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami, its unclear what the future holds for the team as they face their second-ever miss at Worlds.
Meanwhile, 100 Thieves will aim to continue their momentum, hoping to challenge Team Liquids undefeated Summer Split in the grand final.

]]>Team Liquid and FlyQuest will clash on Saturday, August 31, in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) 2024 Championship upper bracket final. The two North American sides last met on the opening day of the LCS 2024 Summer regular season, when Team Liquid won, and according to LoL betting odds, the rematch should not end much differently.
FlyQuest enter the LCS 2024 Championship upper bracket finals off a surprise 3-1 victory against Cloud9. The underdogs managed to produce a decisive victory, and while some of their success was due to Cloud9 choking very advantageous positions, it is hard to criticise FlyQuest for what they showed on the day.
Team Liquid had no issues crushing 100 Thieves in the second round, which hardly comes as a shock. There is nothing of note to take from that series; Team Liquid performed significantly better, albeit against a weaker opponent.
Now priced at -416.67, Team Liquid are expected to have an easy time beating FlyQuest, which is not too surprising, as FlyQuest looked like the most vulnerable of the top-three teams during the regular season. But they managed to keep their head in the game against Cloud9, showing a more methodical approach with few slip-ups.
This does not change the fact that Team Liquid have been more efficient throughout the split, yet the gap between the two LCS juggernauts is not nearly as large as the top LoL betting sites suggest with their offer.
FlyQuest taking two maps on Saturday isnt too far-fetched, so at +133, theyre a solid pick on the map handicap market.

]]>100 Thieves and Dignitas are set to clash on Friday, August 30, in a rematch from the first round of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) 2024 Championship. 100T won the last affair, and according to LoL betting sites, the rematch should not end much differently.
Priced at +194, Dignitas are given just north of a 34% implied probability of beating 100 Thieves, which, considering how toothless they looked in the first round, makes some sense. However, Dignitas performed uncharacteristically poorly on the day, so things can only go up from here for them.
Performance stats-wise, Dignitas are pretty stable as they have not been smashed that often C except for in the last meeting with 100 Thieves. Yet we have to consider that 100 Thieves did not play well that day and even less so in their 0-3 loss against Team Liquid in the last round.
As proven during the regular season, there is not much to set LCS teams apart quality-wise C excluding the top three in Liquid, FlyQuest and Cloud9, who are a class above. So it is hard to justify siding with 100 Thieves at this number.
Lack of consistency, besides poor macro, are two big things all these bottom LCS teams have in common, so it is wise to consider backing any squad at plus money, especially when we talk about numbers that reach closer to +200.
As long as Dignitas don’t collapse again, we should be in for a competitive game and not nearly as one-sided as the offered betting odds suggest.

]]>C9’s win was all the more impressive given they entered the playoffs as the fifth seed, while their win over 100T was the only sweep recorded in the bracket. Their LCS Summer win marks the team’s first title since winning the 2021 Mid-Season Showdown.?
?The result puts an end to a stormy year for Cloud9, who have undergone several issues relating to significant roster shakeups, role swaps, and controversy among the teams coaches. A number of famous Cloud9 players also returned to feature in the teams lineup.? ?
100 Thieves, on the other hand, have had an impressive run this season and had, until the weekend just gone, won every tournament final they’d participated in. This includes their win in the 2022 LCS Spring Playoffs earlier this year. ?
100 Thieves had their rematch against Cloud9 after facing off against Evil Geniuses in the lower-bracket finals of the LCS Championship. Both teams were embroiled in a tough series until 100 Thieves took the advantage over EG and paid the team back in their own coin, having lost to them during the LCS Spring tournament.?
?In the match against Cloud9, 100T midlaner Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and jungler Can “Closer” Celik were unable to continue their impressive performance, which previously earned the team an impressive streak of wins in the Summer Split.? ?Cloud9 ADC Kim “Berserker” Min-Cheol notably gave the players a hard time. The South Korean was largely responsible for forcing 100T into the lower bracket. The players impressive performance made him stand out among his teammates and played a huge role in earning Cloud9 the LCS trophy.? ?
The team, in recognition of Berserkers importance during the series, drafted several compositions with champions like Zilean, Nocturne, and Kennen around him. 100T soon started to be more cautious of Berserker and his champions after his play with Zeri in Game 1.? ?100T had an increasingly difficult time dealing with Berserker in the series as almost none of their target bans limited the players foresight during almost all the matches.
While trying to handle Berserker on the other end of the map, C9 top laner Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami and jungler Robert “Blaber” Huang were reeling in sizable leads for the team. C9 controlled the pacing of each game in the league finals after just one team fight with 100T and placed their opponent on the defensive for the rest of the game.?
?The last game in the series between the two teams saw C9 immediately invade 100Ts territory and secure a kill. This unpredicted move destabilized their already faltering opponent and caused the team to perform several mistimed ultimates. 100T experienced vision loss of their enemy and gave C9 the opportunity and tools they needed to maintain their lead in the series.?
?Berserker had free rein to ricochet attacks off 100T players, with Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen and Jesper Zven Svenningsen covering for him. The ADC lost out on a chance to win the final game with a pentakill, but this did not stop C9 from claiming victory over 100T.?
Each Cloud9 team member earned their own share of accolades, with Berserker coming first with an impressive 23/1/24 KDA. The player is currently one of the most prominent ADCs in the region after debuting in the Spring Split along with Cloud9s retouched lineup. Jensen also gave an outstanding performance alongside Zven, who earned his second LCS trophy in a second role.? ?
The group draw for the LoL World Championship took take place immediately after the series. Cloud9 will start the tournament in Group A alongside T1 and EDward Gaming, while 100 Thieves were drawn in Group D with Gen.G and CTBC Gaming. This years Worlds will kick off on September 29, with the play-ins set to take place in Mexico City.

]]>?The Danish player achieved the impressive feat during Game 4 of Team Liquids series against 100 Thieves in the 2022 LCS Summer Playoffs. The match was played right after he selected Zilean, his patented champion.? ?
Bjergsen is known for his time with TSM, which lasted eight impressive seasons. He is also regarded as one of the most formidable players in the entire league, having been part of the LCS for more than 10 years. ?
?The player previously led TSM as the teams head coach. However, he decided to return to the professional competitive scene as a player in 2022. Bjergsens decision to play again saw him sign up with Team Liquid in late November 2021.?
?The LCS kill record was previously held by Jason “WildTurtle” Tran, another veteran player who has played professionally for over a decade. The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the greatest ADCs in LCS history. WildTurtle last played for the North American esports organization Immortals and exited in May 2022.?
?After coming back to professional play this year, Bjergsen surpassed his long-time friend and rival Yiliang “Peter” Peng, popularly known as Doublelift, on the career kill leaderboard. During their LCS careers, both players competed against each other in separate teams and played alongside each other. Doublelift has since made a career switch, transitioning into content creation and streaming.? ?
At Bjergsens end, the season is not yet over, so the mid laner still has ample opportunity to put an even wider gap between him and other players with a high number of kills. ? ?
Despite Bjergsen’s feat, 100 Thieves emerged as the victor of the series and prevented a reverse sweep from Team Liquid, which saw TL relegated to the lower bracket. All is not lost for Liquid, however, as they still have the chance to earn a spot at the upcoming 2022 LoL World Championship, which is scheduled to commence on September 29 in Mexico.? ?
Next, Team Liquid will take on Counter Logic Gaming in the LCS 2022 Summer lower-bracket quarterfinals. TL are clear favorites to win the match, paying -322.58 odds on BetOnline. If Liquid defeat CLG, they will then battle the victor in the other fixture between Evil Geniuses and TSM.

?The first quarterfinal for the LCS Summer Playoffs will see third-placed Team Liquid clashing with sixth-placed FlyQuest in a five-game series for a spot in the upper-bracket semifinals against 100 Thieves.
Team Liquid finished the regular season with 12 wins and six losses. Throughout the split, TL have been one of the more consistent teams in the LCS. They ended their split by winning six of their last seven matches, with their only defeat coming at the hands of 100 Thieves.
During the regular season, TL mid-laner Soren Bjergsen Bjerg compiled the equal-highest KDA of 8.7 with Evil Geniuses support Philippe Vulcan Laflamme. For TL to go deep this split, Bjergsen will need some help from his other lanes, otherwise they will continue to lose to the top teams late in the playoffs.

FlyQuest finished the regular season in sixth place with a record of 10-9 after they had to play a tiebreaker game against Cloud9 to determine their position in the playoffs. FlyQuest had won their last three games of the regular season, beating 100 Thieves, Immortals and TSM, before they lost their tiebreaker game to Cloud9. Last time FlyQuest played Team Liquid they were unable to control the game, only taking two towers to TLs eight while Liquid smashed the kill count 16-3.
Considering Team Liquid won the last battle between these two teams, we believe they should be winning this series. Given that this series is a best-of-five and not a best-of-one, FlyQuest could take one map off of Team Liquid, so we will back TL 3-1 in the correct score market.

?The second upper-bracket quarterfinal sees the fourth seed, CLG, taking on the fifth seed, Cloud9, with the winner progressing to play Evil Geniuses in the upper-bracket semifinals.
CLG enter the playoffs in average form at best, as they lost two of their last three matches in the regular season. CLGs Summer split has been somewhat of a rollercoaster, considering they have wins over Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses, who sit in third and first, respectively, but they also have losses to Golden Guardians, Immortals and TSM, who sit in seventh, eighth and ninth. If CLG are to go deep, they will need to be more consistent, especially as we hit the best-of-five series in the playoffs.

Cloud9 finished their regular season in fifth place with an 11-8 record after they beat FlyQuest in the tiebreaker game. C9 will also be kicking off their playoffs in average form, as they lost to both CLG and 100 Thieves in week seven. However, they won two of their three games in the final week, with their only loss coming to Evil Geniuses. While Cloud9 lost their last match against CLG, they won the first matchup against them back in week three, so this could be a very tight series.
With the closeness in record and the fact that both of these teams earned beat each other during the regular season, we could be in for a cracking series. Our money will be on CLG to win the series or lose in tight five-map series, so we will be taking the outsider at the +1.5 map handicap.
