Therefore, if Entropiq can compete against some of the world’s best teams, they should defeat Fiend in straight maps.

?Eternal Fire caused a huge upset on Thursday when they defeated Virtus.pro (2-1) in the first round of the REPUBLEAGUE Season 2 playoffs. Ismailcan “XANTARES” D?rtkarde? was leading the way for his squad, averaging 1.18 rating across the series, while Yasin “xfl0ud” Ko? and Bu?ra “Calyx” Ark?n were the only two players of the team to end the match with a sub-1.00 rating.

The Turkish squad played well, but it was also a case of Virtus.pro underperforming, so we have to take their success with a grain of salt. Eternal Fire have since played two more games at a charity event, losing to both Entropiq (3-10) and HONORIS (8-10).

Lyngby Vikings’ most recent match happened last Thursday, when they defeated 00Nation (2-1) in the previous round of the playoffs. It marked the Vikings’ eighth win across their last nine outings and their 13th across the last 15.

Lyngby Vikings are in a much better form, but they’re not worth a bet at -200, nor are we too excited about backing Eternal Fire to cause an upset. These two squads are evenly matched individually, and we expect that to show in the final score.

Eternal Fire enter this match with a 4-4 record from their last eight outings, which isn’t terrible; however, they have not faced any notable opponent and might be a bit ring-rusty. The Turkish squad have been out of action since October 25, when they won against ENTERPRISE esports (2-0).

There is no reason to believe Eternal Fire can win this bout, as long as Virtus.pro don’t flop. This is a match between one of the top 10 CS:GO esports teams in the world and a self-proclaimed “Turkish Superteam” that hasn’t achieved anything since its inception in August.

Anything less than a 2-0 sweep for VP would be a massive disappointment.

?Admittedly, neither team is very good, but we don’t believe 00Nation should be priced as +235 underdogs. Still, it’s easy to see why the esports bookmakers have set such prices.

Lyngby Vikings hold a 11-1 record and have suffered only three losses since the start of October (17-3). On the other side, 00Nation have managed only two wins across their last 11 outings (2-9).

00Nation and Lyngby Vikings have never met before but based on their recent showings; it’s fair to assume the Danes should come out ahead. And while they might, 00Nations have shown enough – even in their losses – for us to believe they can put up a fight.

Losing against Izako Boars (0-2) in their last outing isn’t a good look for the Brazilian squad, but they played well against the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 quarter-finalists, FURIA Esports (13-16), last month. Lyngby Vikings would be a clear choice at better odds, but at -121.95, we have to take 00Nation with a map advantage.

?Dignitas finished the group stage in third place with a 1-2 record but still made it into the playoffs, thanks to EXTREMUM’s withdrawal from the tournament. The situation works in favour of Entropiq, who got awarded an easier matchup – but not by much.

Dignitas won’t achieve much in the big leagues with their current roster; however, Adam “friberg” Friberg and co. have done well enough for their standards. Entropiq’s last appearance at a top-tier tournament happened at the start of October when they placed third at Intel Extreme Masters XVI Fall CIS. It was a solid achievement, but they haven’t had much success since, and have been dropping games against much weaker teams, including 9z Team and FunPlus Phoenix.

This seems like a 50/50 match, so we have to take the better odds on Dignitas.

?It’s fair to say that Team Fiend are a better team, but the offered CS:GO betting odds make no sense. Eternal Fire are priced at +309 to win, implying that they have only a 24.4% chance of winning, which is way too low.

Even though Eternal Fire are by no means a top-tier team, they still field two elite players in ?zgür “woxic” Eker and ?smailсan “XANTARES” D?rtkarde?. Admittedly, woxic and XANTARES haven’t been in their best form of late, but they’re still highly talented individuals with experience playing at the highest level.

The problem with Eternal Fire is that you never know what you’re going to get – they can either play extremely well or fall apart. Still, that presents us with a 50/50 chance that they step up and defeat Fiend, and that’s good enough to wager on them at the offered odds.

?ENTERPRISE esports last met with Dynamo Eclot just over a week ago, when they won with 16-14 on both Mirage and Overpass. With that win, ENTERPRISE are 3-0 up in the head-to-head with Eclot, who they beat twice in September.

Despite ENTERPRISE’s impressive head-to-head record, it’s not like they were much better in any of their previous meetings. Dynamo Eclot have claimed double digits in all but one of their bouts with ENTERPRISE and could have easily won their last series.

Andrej “Adejis” Kameni?tiak and co. should be favoured, but they’re not a good bet at -192.31. If their last meeting is any indication, there is a good chance we might see all three maps on Thursday.

?K23’s last meeting with Team LDLC ended in a commanding 2-0 victory with 16-4 on Inferno and 16-9 on Overpass. However, that match happened way back in April, when K23 still fielded Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev and Rustem “mou” Telepov, who left the team at the start of October.

However, K23 have done well without the Kazakhstani duo and won against world no.20 side Team Spirit (2-1) on Monday, upping their record across the last seven to 6-1. Their only loss over that stretch came against MOUZ (0-2).

Team LDLC, in contrast, are 3-3 from their last six outings. What’s more, LDLC only seem to do well on Nuke (72% win rate) and hold a worse win percentage than K23 across four maps in the rotation.

Regardless of the recent roster changes, K23 are a better team and shouldn’t struggle to claim their second head-to-head victory on Thursday.
