The team initially entered the Dota 2 scene almost two years ago, signing Team Undying in January 2022.

Throughout their involvement in the NA scene, TSM retained players Enzo “Timado” Gianoi and Jonathan “Bryle” De Guia, with additional members Gainullin “kasane” Ilyas, Matthew “Ari” Walker and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon joining towards the end of the same year.

The team experienced moderate success, winning the DPC NA 2021�C2022 Tour One Regional Final and securing second place at the ESL One Stockholm Major in May 2022.

However, TSM’s performance in The International 2023 was disappointing.

Rumours had circulated initially that TSM’s entry into Dota 2 was primarily to please sponsors FTX, and despite that brand’s departure, the roster remained intact.

The decision to release the roster a year later suggests that these rumours may have held some truth.

ESL One revealed that the former TSM roster would continue to compete as Team Undying in ESL One Kuala Lumpur, with no immediate changes to the line-up.

Former TSM coach David “MoonMeander” Tan hinted at upheaval with a cryptic tweet on November 29, saying “RIP NADota.”

While TSM are stepping away from the NA Dota 2 scene, the organization teased future developments in Dota 2, leaving fans speculating about the next steps.

Some fans believe TSM might follow a similar path to their League of Legends operations by moving to a new region, with Europe or Southeast Asia being potential destinations.

Despite TSM’s reassurances, constant roster changes have left some fans sceptical about the team’s future, and concerns about the organization’s stability are growing within the community.

In a recent Twitter announcement, TSM expressed gratitude for thier Dota 2 roster’s growth and dedication but confirmed their departure from the NA scene.

The organization hinted at upcoming updates regarding future endeavours in Dota 2, leaving room for speculation that TSM might pick up a new roster in a different region.

Despite the uncertainties, TSM expressed confidence in the players’ potential for continued success in their careers.

Fans have had to endure the terrible performance of TSM over the past season, but TSM’s new signing is said to be capable of lifting the team to new heights and putting the past season behind the team.

The US-based esports organization took to its Twitter page to announce the signing of the former Flash Wolves mid-laner Maple. While the franchise welcomed the 24-year old to the team, they tagged him as the ‘key to our roster’. They also revealed that he will be taking a starting position in the LCS Summer Split, stating that his experience will play a vital role in the team’s growth and success.

“The key to our roster has arrived. Please join us in giving Huang ��Maple�� Yi-Tang a warm welcome to the TSM family!” TSM announced. “We’re incredibly excited for him to take on the starting position as our LCS mid-laner. His experience and leadership will be pivotal to the success of our roster.”

Maple, the Taiwanese professional League of Legends player will be joining the TSM roster consisting of Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, Mingyi Spica Lu, Edward “Tactical” Ra, Ji “Takeover” Cha Hyeun-min, and support Wei “Shenyi” Zi-Jie.

Maple spoke about joining TSM’s League of Legends roster, stating that despite their poor performance in the Spring Split, he looks forward to being the difference and creating changes in his wake. He talked about introducing the different playing styles he picked up from his years of experience and hopefully lead the team to the Worlds.

��Why I want to join TSM�� [they] didn��t perform as expected in the Spring Split, [so] I hope my joining could help bring some changes,�� Maple stated. ��I want to bring the playstyle that I learned in the LPL and PCS to NA and help the team qualify for Worlds while getting better results.��

Having suffered their worst LCS season in the history of the franchise, the Vice President of TSM, Dominic Kallas is positive about the bright future that exists for the organization. Although he is not deluded that the team can get back to winning ways within the first year, he believes the basis for rebuilding is in place, and as such the process of becoming a highly competitive team can continue.

“Not everything is going to be fixed here in the first year, but ultimately, we feel we��re in a place where we can start rebuilding and get TSM back to its winning culture, step by step,” Kallas said.

Glen Yang, TSM’s assistant general manager talked about Maple coming out in flying colors after being graded by the coaching staff. He stated that the former PSG Talon and Anyone’s Legend player is considered to be amongst the top three best mid-laner in LCS. Having been in the league competing at the highest level for nine years, his recruitment to the team is believed to be a great advantage to the team.

Team Liquid vs TSM clash seems like the closest affair out of the weekend’s big three LoL fixtures, and while Liquid are priced as big favourites, we don’t believe we are in for a one-sided affair. Instead of exploring which side fields stronger players and has a better idea of how to approach their games, let us instead look what they need to do to defeat their opponents.

When facing S?ren “Bjergsen” Bjerg’s team, you have to exploit their weak early-game, especially in the mid lane, meaning a strong early-game jungler and mid laner are your best bets. That was most notable in TSM’s series against 100T, which the latter could have won had they not threw away their leads in the mid-late game.

One more thing to note about TSM is their incredible Baron control (77%), so executing well around it should come in handy for Liquid as they look to secure a spot in the LCS Mid-Season Showdown finals. Oddly enough, it shouldn’t take much to do that, since Liquid only need to avoid making silly engages into the Baron pit like many of TSM’s opponents did this season.

The best way to gain advantages against Team Liquid is to not risk too much in the early game. They’re by far the best LCS team in Team CS Lead at 15, boast a 81% first turret rate, and 69% Herald control, so a safe, scaling team composition that allows TSM to contest late-game dragons is their best choice.

Liquid might look better on paper due to the stylistic advantage they have, but as long as Bjergsen recognises how to gain draft edges with safe and scaling compositions, we could be in for a close series. That probably won��t be enough for TSM to win, but we can trust them to force Liquid to five maps.

Immortals enter the 2021 LCS season with four new members on their squad including three ex-OG (now Astralis) members in jungler Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir, support Mitchell “Destiny” Shaw and coach Andr�� “Guilhoto” Guilhoto.

Even though they have not signed any big names, Immortals�� rebuild project looks fairly promising and while we don’t believe they can achieve any remarkable heights, it’s not unlikely they might drag their way into in the playoffs.

Evil Genuises have made quite a few drastic changes to their roster as well, and like it’s the case with IMT, their new squad does not look all that bad. The only issue we have with EG is that most of their players – namely Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro – are very volatile, effectively making EG one of the most unpredictable teams in this LOL league.

EG should win this match, but at $1.37, they’re not worth a bet, especially so early into the season. Over 25.5 kills is the safest bet to take here, both due to the current fast-paced meta and the fact that neither team is known for a slow-paced playstyle.

With all due respect, Golden Guardians are by far the weakest team in the league, whereas we would have no issues ranking Team SoloMid amongst the top-four, so it’s easy to see how this game should go.

There is a world where GG grow and emerge as playoffs contenders down the line, but we can’t expect much from them in the first split of the season.

The main reason why we are not too high on GG is the lack of star players and questionable quality of their rookie squad. Although we must give them some praise for trying to put together a more development-oriented project, the execution was not all that good.

TSM’s raw quality alone should be enough to make this match a very one-sided one. Unlike GG, they field world-class players, which should be enough for a comfortable win.

Both teams are well-coached and should have a solid macro play, so the best way to approach predicting this match is comparing the players lane-by-lane. Starting in the top lane, FlyQuest should have an advantage, namely because Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami is an unproven player whereas Eric “Licorice” Ritchie is easily one of the best top laners in the league.

Moving down to the jungle role, we could give C9 an edge, but if we consider Brandon “Josedeodo” Joel Villegas’s performances at 2020 LoL World Championship, there is a world where FlyQuest can at least go even in that matchup. Much of the same holds true for the bottom lane, largely due to Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen’s incredible growth as a player in 2020, although we are a bit concerned with the quality of his support.

The biggest quality gap can be found in the mid lane where we are giving Cristian “Palafox” Palafox zero to no chance of defeating Luka “Perkz” Perkovi?. Letting Perkz establish his lane kingdom will be more than enough for C9 to secure a win, but we don’t expect a large kill lead.

TSM’s resurgence can be attributed to the showings of Bjergsen, who has carried his team to victory on several occasions. While his teammates have started showing much more consistent performances, no one comes close to the Danish mid laner’s 7.0 KDA – the highest mark out of all players in the playoffs.

TSM’s bottom lane of Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and Vincent “Biofrost” Wang also deserve praise for their input in the win over Cloud9, where they produced 6.7 and 7.8 KDAs respectively. TSM have won a lot through top lane by getting Sergen “Broken Blade” ?elik ahead, so it will be interesting to see what approach they use this weekend.

Team Liquid have emerged as one of the biggest positives this split. Having finished ninth in the LCS Spring, they went on to win the LCS Summer regular season with a 15-3 record despite Doublelift leaving for TSM in the offseason.

Team Liquid made easy work of Golden Guardians (3-0) in the second round of the playoffs, yet they stumbled against FlyQuest (2-3) in the upper bracket finals. One of the main things to take away from that series was FlyQuest’s focus on shutting down TL jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen by banning his Lee Sin and Graves.

Considering how effective that approach was, we can expect TSM to do the same this weekend since their own jungler, Mingyi “Spica” Lu, has a deep enough champion pool to make do without the priority picks.

TEAM LIQUID vs TEAM SOLOMID LCS 2020 SUMMER PLAYOFFS BETTING PREDICTIONS

This match has the potential to be much closer than the odds at most LoL betting sites suggest. A lot of focus will be on the jungle matchup, but considering Broxah and Spica can be hit-or-miss, it’s difficult to say which team has an advantage.

The top lane is another enigma, as we can expect both players to play on the weak side. However, since Team SoloMid have proven they can play around Broken Blade, it’s not altogether unlikely they will look to win with the help of top-side pressure.

Even the mid and bottom lane matchups seem to be a coin flip. While we could give TSM an edge in the mid lane due to Bjergsen’s phenomenal performances of late, it’s also fair to give Team Liquid a slight edge in the ADC matchup due to Doublelift’s inconsistency this split.

The betting odds favour Liquid to win, but we can��t ignore that they��re not as versatile in the draft as TSM. Because of that, we believe the underdogs can take at least two maps and force Liquid to win it in five.

With Crue’s departure, TSM’s European Fortnite squad (TSM.EU) has officially disbanded. Since the start of the year, Fortnite pros Cloud, Kyle “Herrions” Trusley, Vinny “Vinny1x” Gilgan and Leon “Khanada” Khim have also left TSM.

While the reason for Team SoloMid’s decision to downsize their Fortnite project remains unclear, the cancellation of 2020 Fortnite World Cup is likely a contributing factor. With no prospects of a big payday from the World Cup, there is little financial incentive to continue operating a Fortnite team.

The news comes only two months after TSM announced they were closing down their Rocket League and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds rosters, which were axed at the start of April. However, TSM relaunched their PUBG project on April 24 with the signing of the former WTSG roster.

Crue joined TSM.EU in August 2019 after stints at CounterPoint, Silencio Esports, Granit Gaming and Valhalla Vikings in the previous nine months. At the time, the young Swede was widely regarded as one of the brightest European talents after he finished sixth in the 2019 Fortnite World Cup Solo Finals and 22nd in the Duo Finals alongside his former teammate Moussa “chapix” Faour.

Crue also finished 2019 ranked fifth in the European PC charts with 67,050 Fortnite Power Ranking (PR) points, only trailing Fortnite World Cup Duos champion David “aqua” Wang (67,500), Dmitri “mitr0” Van de Vrie (73,800), Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson (80,900) and Benjy “benjyfishy” David Fish (95,000).

Currently, Crue holds onto 13,025 PR points, which puts him 72nd in the European PC Fortnite rankings. This year he has earned two titles, winning Platform Cash Cup events in January and May respectively.

“Parted ways with TSM, it’s a great org with nice staff and players! I’m now a F/A,” read Crue’s Twitter post.

Crue has yet to announce where he will continue his career as a Fortnite pro and is currently waiting for offers as a free agent. He should not have any difficulties finding a new home, as he is widely considered to be one of the most mechanically gifted Fortnite players in the world.

Crue is currently the 16th highest-earning Fortnite player in the world, seventh highest-earning European Fortnite player and 10th highest-earning Swedish esports player with US $703,850 in career winnings.

The news surfaced this Monday on TSM’s official Twitter page, where it was confirmed that the tournament will feature 20 teams and a US $25,000 prize pool. TSM have yet to unveil the tournament lineup as they are still gathering applications from players and content creators.

The tournament rules prevent fully professional teams from entering the field. Each squad that attend the TSM Invitational will have a captain and two other players, one of whom must be a gaming content creator.

Many notable names in the esports industry have already expressed interest in the event, including Apex Legends pros in Christian “Nokokopuffs” Feliciano, Mikkel “Mande” Halle Hestbek and Jordan “Reps” Wolfe, as well as famous Twitch streamer Jake “JakeNBake” Abramson. No full teams have been confirmed as yet.

The TSM Invitational will begin only five days after the launch of Apex Legends’ fifth season, dubbed Fortune��s Favor, which dropped this Tuesday. The new season introduced a plethora of changes to Respawn’s prized battle royale title, with one of the most notable being the destruction of Skull Town and the addition of new areas to the original map.

Adding to that, Apex Legends Season 5 will also introduce new weapons and a new playable character, Loba. The TSM Invitational: Apex Legends tournament rules state that at least one player per team will have to play the new Translocating Thief, thus encouraging the participants to explore the latest changes to the game.

Team SoloMid have a massive presence in the Apex Legends esports scene. The trio of Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen, Mac “Albralelie” Kenzie Beckwith and Reps hoisted the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational trophy in September last year, to which they added titles at the GLL Apex Legends Series in December and Online Tournament #2 – North America in March.

A possible return to TSM has been talked about ever since Team Liquid revealed they were open to negotiations for the sale of their star ADC, with whom they won four consecutive League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) playoffs and made four appearances at the LoL World Championship. During that time, Doublelift and TL also defeated the reigning world champions, Invictus Gaming, in the semi-finals of the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational to become only the second North American team to reach the MSI grand finals.

With Doublelift, Team Liquid enjoyed one of the most successful periods in the organisation’s history. This year, however, has been a disaster thus far, as TL finished the LoL Championship Series (LCS) 2020 Spring Split in ninth place with a 7-11 record.

While Team Liquid did not provide any detailed explanation for Doublelift’s departure, it is public knowledge that he and Team Liquid’s owner, Steve “LiQuiD112” Arhancet, parted ways on good terms. However, many in the broader LoL esports community want a few important questions answered.

Since Doublelift is dating Leena Xu, who is the president of TSM, several prominent figures in the esports industry have asked whether this move constitutes a flagrant breach of integrity protocols. Christopher “MonteCristo” Kjell Mykles, a former Overwatch caster who turned to freelancing in January, summed up all the concerns with one Tweet:

Some have even accused Doublelift of intentionally underperforming in the LCS 2020 Spring Split in order to force a move to Team SoloMid. However, those claims ignore the fact that the player could have triggered a release clause in his contract at any time.

��If Leena wasn��t on TSM, would I join TSM? Absolutely, yes,�� said Doublelift in his vlog.

��I joined because the roster is really good, because the organisation is super hyped, and my past relationships with Bjergsen [S?ren “Bjergsen” Bjerg] and Bio [Vincent “Biofrost” Wang]. I think if you removed Leena from the equation, my decision making would be the exact same.��

In the same vlog, Doublelift explained everything that led to his departure from Team Liquid, including Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen’s visa issues, internal struggles and disagreements with the team’s leadership.

It all started after Team Liquid failed to deliver at the 2019 LoL Worlds, at which point the team started to talk about parting ways with their jungler, Jake “Xmithie” Puchero. Reportedly, Doublelift was the only player on the team who did not want Xmithie to leave, since he had established a great relationship with the Filipino jungler over two-and-a-half years.

Liquid’s performance at Worlds was humiliatingly bad, and Doublelift was adamant that the whole team, and not just Xmithie, were to blame. His voice was not heard, however, and Liquid decided to sell Xmithie and acquire Broxah.

Doublelift also talked about his lack of motivation during the LCS Spring Split, for which he apologised once again, and addressed the many factors behind his lack of drive. He pointed to a lack of feedback from his teammates and coaches, and he also claimed he was told ��not to make any calls and instead only feed information�� during matches.

Supposedly, the only two members of the Team Liquid setup who supported Doublelift during this difficult time were Broxah and Arhancet. That made the 26-year-old LoL veteran realise his relationship with the roster was damaged beyond repair and it was time to start looking at other options.

Doublelift has now reunited with Bjergsen, with whom he played in 2016 when TSM finished third-fourth at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Season 10 World Championship and won the LCS 2016 Summer Split. In 2017, the trio of Doublelift, Bjergsen and Biofrost won Rift Rivals as well as the LCS Summer Split and the resulting playoffs.

Few in the global esports community could have predicted such a drastic move, although neither roster managed to consistently find success in their recent competitive endeavours.

Team SoloMid first entered the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds competitive scene on May 9, 2017, with the signing of Colton “Viss” Visser and Austin “SmaK” Haggett. Gary “BreaK” Marshall joined the team in June, with the fourth and final member Marius “aimPR” Ionita signed in mid-July.

The quarter made their first appearance in the competitive scene at Gamescom PUBG Invitational 2017 – Squad, but failed to see much success, as they had to settle with a fifth-place finish, below their regional rivals Team Liquid, Noble Esports, Tier 3 Gaming and Luminosity Gaming. By the end of the year, TSM took a swing at three more events in Auzom Premier League Season 1 IEM XII Oakland PUBG Invitational and BEAT Invitational by Soylent, but again failed to live up to the expectations with their third, sixth and 18th place finishes respectively.

In February 2018, TSM started fresh with the signing of a new in-game-leader Rory “rawryy” Logue in a bid to make a breakthrough, yet their enthusiasm soon turned to dust, as TSM failed to make any noise at IEM XII Katowice PUBG Invitational, StarSeries & i-League PUBG Season 1 and PGL-PUBG Spring Invitational 2018, finishing 10th, ninth and eighth respectively. Shortly after, Viss announced he is stepping down from the team to focus on streaming, which ushered the signing of Alexandru “SOLIDFPS” Cotiga.

Despite all the roster changes, success was nowhere to be found, with TSM��s best placement in 2018 coming from Hong Kong PUBG World Invitational, where they finished 10th. In November, TSM rebuild their roster with the signing of a Danish trio in Gustav “Gustav” Bl?nd, Peter “Wookiebookie” Lassen and Mathias “Turtle” Nielsen who pocketed ninth-place finish at PUBG Europe League – Closed Qualifier in December.

In 2019, TSM made further tweaks to their PUBG roster, with the signing of Michael “mykLe” Wake, ?mer “Irph” ?ak?ldeveli and coach Dylan “Didz” Didiano, which resulted in a fairly lucrative year for TSM��s PUBG project, securing over US $162,500 in tournament winnings, with $80,000 coming from their seventh-place finish at PUBG Global Championship 2019.

In late-January, TSM made one last roster change, when they signed Jere “Jembty” Kauppinen, Christopher “Fexx” Wheddon and Ren�� “Braexco” Rehling and parted ways with Iroh and rawry, with the latter promoted to a position of a head coach. Since, the new-look squad participated at Global Loot League Season 4 – EMEA Finals and PGS: Berlin – Europe Finals, where they finished at an underwhelming 12th and seventh place respectively.

TSM’s Rocket League team, on the other side, was formed in January 2019 with the signing of ex-We Dem Girlz roster in Remco “remkoe” den Boer, Otto “Metsanauris” Kaipiainen and Jordan “EyeIgnite” Stellon.

Much like TSM’ PUBG project, their Rocket League team went through quite a few roster changes since its formation, but both squads had one more thing in common – underwhelming performances. Outside of finishing sixth at RLCS Season 7 – Europe, second at DreamHack Pro Circuit: Dallas 2019, seventh at RLCS Season 8 – Europe and most recently ninth at RLCS Season 9 – Europe, TSM’s results left a lot to be desired, which eventually led to the team’s disbandment.

Despite the TSM’s decision to drop their PUBG and Rocket League rosters, the North American organisation unveiled they’re planning on returning to both scenes at a later date.
“We are still exploring our opportunities within both scenes, and plan to re-enter them at a later date,” read the announcement.

It remains to be seen when TSM will re-enter PUBG and RL scene, but given their ambitions to field the best, or at very least the second-best team in the world, as noted by remkoe in his Twitter post, it might take a while before TSM assembles a roster that will live up to those expectations.
