FaZe Clan will begin their quest for a spot in the 2021 VALORANT Champions Tour on Wednesday when they clash with Rise in the opening round of the last chance qualifiers. FaZe last met with Rise during VCT 2021 North America Stage 3 Challengers 2, when they lost the first match 0-2 but claimed a revenge win with 2-1 in the third round of the lower bracket.
Even though FaZe’s last clash with Rise was fairly close, it’s hard not to favour Corey “corey” Nigra for this bout. FaZe have gone 2-3 since their last meeting with Rise, which doesn’t look great; however, they had to face to face some of the top teams in the region, including TSM (1-3), 100 Thieves (0-2) and Team Envy (1-2).
Rise have had some moments in August when they forced Sentinels to three maps (1-2) and stole a series off TSM (2-1). However, outside of these flashes, Rise haven’t shown much this year.

Version1 enter the last chance qualifiers as one of the highest-rated teams yet to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour. However, that doesn’t mean much, seeing how Version1 haven’t won anything since Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet – March.
Cloud9 Blue have achieved less than Version1 this year and have managed to accumulate only 50 VCT points. However, they have recently made quite an exciting roster change, bringing in Version1’s former in-game leader Anthony “vanity” Malaspina to replace Ricky “floppy” Kemery.
Since the roster change, C9 have yet to lose a game and enter this match on a seven-game winning streak. Admittedly, all of those wins came at Nerd Street Gamers Summer Championship against weaker opponents, but Cloud9 Blue now have a team that can compete with the best.
