?Team Liquid finished the opening week of the VCT 2023 EMEA League with a 1-1 record. They lost against Team Vitality (1-2) and picked up a 2-1 victory against FUT Esports, which is nothing to write home about, but they should feel confident facing Karmine Corp.
Karmine Corp looked decent against BBL Esports (2-0) in the season’s opening match, but their 0-2 defeat against Team Heretics (5-13 on Icebox, 2-13 on Split) makes it very tough to trust them heading into Week 2. They could’ve had a bad day, but even if they won, expecting Karmine Corp to defeat Team Liquid would be too optimistic.
Team Liquid are one of the strongest teams in the region, and they shouldn’t be losing games like this. Yet they hadn’t shown much last week, so while TL should win, we’ll take the French squad to win a map at plus money.

KOI vs GIANTS VCT BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Best Odds: | KOI -188.68 at BetOnline | Giants +137 at BetOnline |

?Giants lost the first two series of the season against Fnatic (0-2) and Natus Vincere (1-2), which doesn’t look good on paper. But Fnatic and NaVi are two of the best teams from the region, so it’s unfair to criticise Giants too much for not winning a game last week.
KOI went 1-1 in the opening week of the VCT 2023 EMEA season, with a massive victory against Natus Vincere (2-0) and a close 0-2 loss against Team Vitality (6-13, 13-15). Considering KOI’s showings in Week 1, it’s fair to consider them as the better team in this match, but -188.68 looks too pricey.
Talent-wise, there’s not much to separate KOI and Giants, so having Giants priced at +137 seems a bit disrespectful. Moreover, Giants nearly won a map against Fnatic (3-13, 11-13) and had a legitimate chance to sweep NaVi (17-15, 13-15, 7-13), so they’re not as bad as their record suggests.
Giants at plus money is an easy choice.
