Hanwha Life Esports kicked off their LCK Summer split with back-to-back defeats at the hands of KT Rolster and T1; however, since then they have gone onto win their next four series over DRX, Kwangdong Freecs, SANDBOX Gaming and BRION. During that steak, HLE have only lost one map – to SANDBOX.
After one full season together and more time to work on their team play during the break, HLE are starting to deliver on their potential. They sit third on the table, behind only the unbeaten Gen.G and KT Rolster.
Dplus KIA started their LCK Summer split positively with back-to-back wins, but unlike their opponents in this series, they have lost three of their last four matches. Their upset defeat at the hands of BRION has Dplus at three wins and three losses, leaving them one win outside the top four in the LCK standings.
This series should be a cracking way to open the fourth week of the LCK Summer split. Given the importance of this match early in the season, we anticipate a very competitive three-map contest.

After finishing third in the LCK Spring split and recording their best finish since their LCK Summer title in 2018, KT Rolster have started in fine style with five wins and one loss. KT’s dominance is highlighted by having two players inside the top five for KDAs, with Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram (7.9) and Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong (7.2) sitting second and fourth, respectively, on that list.
KT Rolster will be hoping to finish the first half of the split with four more wins. They don’t play another team inside the top six after this match, so they should be expecting to hit the halfway mark with a 9-1 record.
Kwangdong Freecs are coming off their first victory in their last four matches, defeating Nongshim RedForce 2-0 in their previous series. The Freecs finished mid-table in LCK Spring, and after a 3-3 start to this split, they appear destined to finish in a similar position, as they don’t have enough talent to truly test the top four or five teams in the LCK.
KT Rolster average just over 15 kills per game in winning maps so far this split, while Kwangdong Freecs average just over 10 kills per game. Expect a lot of bloodshed in this series.
