{"id":9667,"date":"2019-12-16T01:12:00","date_gmt":"2019-12-16T01:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/?p=9667"},"modified":"2019-12-16T01:12:00","modified_gmt":"2019-12-16T01:12:00","slug":"evil-geniuses-unveil-new-logo-for-esports-teams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/evil-geniuses-unveil-new-logo-for-esports-teams\/","title":{"rendered":"Evil Geniuses unveil new logo for esports teams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Evil Geniuses, one of the oldest organisations in the world esports scene, have revealed a new slogan, new jerseys and new logo with the hashtag #LIVEEVIL as part of their rebrand.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1997 in Victoria, British Columbia, as a Quake clan, Evil Geniuses have established themselves as one of the most recognisable names in the esports industry, fielding players in <a href=\"\/call-of-duty\/\" title=\"Call of Duty esports betting\">Call of Duty<\/a>, <a href=\"\/counter-strike\/\" title=\"CS:GO betting sites\">CS:GO<\/a>, <a href=\"\/dota-2\/\" title=\"Dota 2 betting sites\">Dota 2<\/a>, <a href=\"\/rainbow-six-siege\/\" title=\"Rainbow Six Siege esports betting\">Rainbow Six Siege<\/a>, <a href=\"\/rocket-league\/\" title=\"Rocket League betting sites\">Rocket League<\/a>, <a href=\"\/league-of-legends\/\" title=\"LoL esports betting\">League of Legends<\/a>, <a href=\"\/fortnite-battle-royale\/\" title=\"Fortnite esports betting\">Fortnite<\/a>, <a href=\"\/world-of-warcraft\/\" title=\"WoW esports betting\">World of Warcraft<\/a>, <a href=\"\/super-smash-bros\/\" title=\"Super Smash Bros esports betting\">Super Smash Bros.<\/a>, and several other fighting games. The updated kits are emblazoned with the new visual identity of the organisation alongside the logos of EG&#8217;s sponsors: Monster Energy, Xfinity, Twitch, Razer, FVBET, AMD and NEEDforSEAT.<\/p>\n<p>Evil Geniuses were acquired by PEAK6 Investments LCC in May 2019 in a move that saw Nicole LaPointe Jameson installed as CEO. That has triggered a series of significant changes within the organisation, including the decision to purchase the entire NRG CS:GO roster in September after seven years away from Counter-Strike esports. EG will also end their five-year hiatus from League of Legends esports in 2020 after buying out Echo Fox&#8217;s slot in the <a href=\"\/league-of-legends\/championship-series\/\" title=\"LCS betting\">LoL Championship Series<\/a> (LCS).<\/p>\n<p>Evil Geniuses are not the only major esports group to update their branding in recent times.
